1. Engine Speed Sensor

The grey wire is situated on the edge of transmission, directly above the flywheel ring. The sensor transmits a signal via the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU then utilizes this information to regulate the boost, fuel, and timig. It also sends an indicator to the G5 Tachometer within the instrument cluster.

The sensor is used as a reference to correlate with the G40 Camshaft Position Sensor. The ecu needs to know when the crankshaft is TDC and where the camshaft is so it can trigger spark and injectors accordingly.

If this sensor fails the ECU will display the P00160 error, which means the Crank Shaft and Intake Camshaft are not in sync, possibly indicating the chain is stretched or a jump link on the upper chain of timing. I also tried to reset the PID with no success. The car is able to start if the G28 is unplugged and it runs perfectly when it is connected but it still has the intermittent misfire issue at higher RPM. The coolant temperature sensor (G62) shows the wrong temp value -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil pressure gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.

I'm not sure what to do. I think I've ruled everything else out. I'm worried that i might have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump
